About Jennifer

Jennifer Jabaley spent her childhood in Bridgewater, New Jersey. When deciding which university to attend, she pressed for advice from her guidance counselor who said, “I see you as a southern belle, sitting in a rocking chair and drinking mint juleps.” Jen liked this version of herself and headed to Virginia to attend James Madison University. She was somewhat disappointed to find the dorms did not have rocking chairs, and she was too broke to sip mint juleps. After getting a degree in chemistry, she traveled even farther south to Memphis, Tennessee to attend The Southern College of Optometry. Still, she found no rocking chairs nor mint juleps, but plenty of blues and barbeque. After graduation, she moved to the north Georgia mountains where she finally has rocking chairs on her porch and mint leaves in her garden. She finally feels like a southern belle, but her Jersey roots still won’t allow her to say “Y’all.”

Jen practices optometry with her husband, and in her spare time, she got the crazy idea to start writing. Her first two young adult novels received multiple awards including Georgia Author of the Year, and Pennsylvania Reader’s Choice. What’s Yours Is Mine is her adult domestic suspense debut. When she’s not checking eyes or writing, she’s playing tennis or reading, or much more likely trying very hard not to be a crazy sports mom while cheering on her two kids.

About Jennifer

Jennifer practices optometry with her husband in Blue Ridge, Georgia. She grew up in New Jersey, studied chemistry at James Madison University in Virginia, and got her doctorate at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee.

While her son was an infant and she was delirious with sleep deprivation, Jen had an idea that became the inspiration for Lipstick Apology, her first Young Adult novel. Her second, Crush Control, soon followed.

Now when she’s not checking eyes or writing, she can usually be found either doing laundry, playing tennis, or sitting on the sidelines, watching her two children play every sport under the sun. She is currently working on a Domestic Suspense novel.
